Clayton Ainger, An Evening with the Real You

I'd met Debra Brown from Global Hugs at the Chris Howard seminar and she invited me to an event run by Mastery Gym in Manchester. As my car was awaiting repairs, I'd managed to borrow the neighbour's car to drive over because he's on holiday till the weekend, isn't that lucky...

I was intrigued when the speaker was Clayton Ainger, who works with intuition and healing. When I checked out his site, my friends Anita Langley and Nicky Pool were top of the testimonials and you can't get a better recommendation than that.

Clayton Ainger is a Spiritual teacher, Shamanic healer, NLP master practitioner and gifted public speaker. Combined with his experience as a successful Accountant and Tax Consultant, he now works as a highly sought after business consultant for national and international companies such as Hewlett Packard, Lloyds TSB and UK Ministry of Defence.

It was an interesting evening. I had been looking for an intuition person for the last few weeks and one had been manifested in Manchester and he already had testimonials from a couple of friends. I like how we always turn up in the right place at the right times. As we can't be in the wrong place, since we're not there! :-)

We discussed what our priorities in life should be to live the life we want. First to accept who you are, which is a spiritual unified being. Then finding what gives you joy and simply doing it, before sharing it with others that enhance your life and finally being open to receiving.

If we work from the other end focusing on the 1% of what we don't have and want for our ego, by looking at the lack it creates an awful feeling of fear, hurt and inadequacy; missing the 99% of the things already in our lives which are good, give us joy and part of our higher self. The ego wants things now and the spirit knows it is a journey and to enjoy the longevity.
By being aware, it creates presence which brings us into the now, from where there is a choice to be proactive (soul) or reactive (back to the ego).

When coming from a place of gratitude, it is so much easier to enjoy life and the rest takes care of itself. Put the intention out to the universe and it will deliver in it's own time.

I know I'm definitely on the right path. As the night before I'd just mentioned that I was going to find a job with a professional company with unlimited upside of £1m+ and offer to work for free and on a commission only basis. I seem to be able to spot the problems in other people's businesses, lives and relationships that they are unaware of.
Prior to this evening's event I received a call from a friend, another fateful chance meeting, asking me to come and see them about such a position; this was before I'd even told anyone about it! The world works in mysterious ways.

“The thing that is most amazing about Clayton’s programme is the impact it can have on any individual and member of a company or organisation. I have seen it happen over and over again, the transformations are unbelievable. He is an amazing, amazing presenter as well as an extraordinary human being. I highly, highly recommend all his programmes. Being True To You really will transform your life” - Joe Williams, Tony Robbins Head Trainer, Consultant, Author, Coach
Clayton also does readings and retreats around the world. The Real You and the Soul Awakening retreat is a culmination of Clayton’s spiritual journey. This is his passion – helping people to embrace their individuality and to experience the very best of who they are, so they live a life that truly makes their heart sing! Small Business Training and Networking Event - Leeds

Daniel Latto of the Think Tank Group has a Business Training and Networking Event in Leeds called Marketing Your Small Business.

David Price, a business coach from Price Property, explained how we need to measure our marketing, as you can't improve what you don't measure. Also he discussed how to automate things, in such a way that you put procedures and flow charts in place so that anyone can pick up a job and complete it without having to 'think' too much, just like a McDonald's franchise.

John Lee was doing a talk on business and NLP. Techniques that you can use to build rapport with people and how to overcome objections. His website is BMV Tips if you want some more info. He will be at the Northern Property Network meeting in 2 weeks to discuss how to do BMV deals and how to effectively negotiate with vendors and estate agents.

One of the funny things someone said when I explained NLP as sometimes just being 'common sense' (a very simple explanation in layman's term), he asked where he could get it and how much I charged! This made us both laugh as we all have it and fail to use it a lot of the time.

Most of the people I've helped with coaching has been through the application of 'common sense' and NLP to deal with any issues and problems that just needed to be viewed in a different light. It's easy when you know how: Find out more about NLP here

John and myself went to La Tasca for a chat and to discuss a few ideas. He had a flight to Turkey with his girlfriend at 6am, yet sometimes time just flies. Especially with discussions that stretched out beyond the realms of current reality and NLP. Like how experience allows us to just know things. I'm reading a good book called Blink at the moment about 'knowing'. How we can know a situation or a person in a split second and then try to justify it or intellectualise it to ourselves. I also told him about a couple of plans I just wanted to put 'out there'.

Instincts, they're a wonderful thing when we listen to them!

And on the way home the clutch went on my Audi Coupe! It had been slipping for a while and I should have know better. Was it a sign?
Maybe it was; to get my Mk.1 Golf GTi out of the garage and put it back on the road.

The Alchemist: A Fable About Following Your Dream

The Alchemist: A Fable About Following Your Dream by Paulo Coelho

This is one of the few books that I have read from cover to cover within 24 hours.
It is the story of a boy called Santiago who goes in search of treasure and risks everything along the way to follow a new path. A journey of self discovery and about following your heart's desire, as your heart knows what you really, really want.

Get the book from Amazon: The Alchemist: A Fable About Following Your Dream

An Andalucian shepherd boy who one night dreams of a distant treasure in the Egyptian pyramids. And so he's off: leaving Spain to literally follow his dream. It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting, so never stop dreaming.

Along the way he meets a King who tells him that to realise one's destiny is a person's only real obligation. There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure. If you don't go to your calling, your heart will remind you for the rest of your life of what could have been! What people think about others, whether they be shepherds, bakers or kings becomes more important for them than their destinies. Most people see the world as a threatening place, and because they do, the world turns out indeed to be a threatening place. When you possess great treasures within you, and try to tell others of them, seldom are you believed.
"Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own."
The boy sets off from Spain to Egypt knowing he just has to read the omens and signs left on your path, as that will show him the way and guide him, along with his heart.

He finally meets the Alchemist that shows him the Language of the Soul of the World and teaches him how things can change to another level than what they were originally. How people are tested just before they reach their dreams to make sure they learnt along the way. Every search begins with beginners luck (the principle of favourability to whet your appetite for success) and ends with being severely tested, in the same way that the darkest hour of the night comes just before the dawn.

It is once you reach your goal that all the trials and the journey make sense. When you want something, the universe will conspire in helping you to achieve it.

"My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer," the boy confides to the alchemist one night as they look up at a moonless night.

"Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself," the alchemist replies. "And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second's encounter with God and with eternity."

Santiago also meets a girl in the desert, having left one in Spain in search of his dreams and learns that when we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.

Love is the pure language of the world...A language without words…the one true language of the universe. It requires no explanation, just as the universe needs none as it travels through endless time. Love is the force that transforms and improves the soul of the world. Without love, dreams would have no meaning.

"I don't live in my past or my future. I'm interested in only the present. If you can concentrate always on the present, you'll be a happy person. Life will be a party for you, a grand festival, because life is the moment we're living right now."

If you have a dream and a decision to make, it is right for you and the time to follow it is now! Enjoy the adventure and maybe our paths will cross on this glorious life that we have chosen to live...

Do you want to see and hear John Demartini LIVE?

Lucky for you, he will be in London this September, so you now have the opportunity to come and be inspired.

John Demartini presents a captivating blend of science, sociology, history and philosophy, presented in a completely accessible way, to give you a fresh new look at human behavior.

Dr Demartini is as entertaining and humorous as he is profound and insightful.

Triumphant Events has asked Dr John Demartini to return to London and give one of his most inspired talks ever. And, what he will cover may literally change your life.

Note: Don't come to this event empty-handed ...bring a challenge, a frustration, or something that has restricted you. Choose a big one ... because you're about to have a breakthrough.
"He has had an amazing life, has studied extensively and is determined to help as many people as he can achieve their potential." - Financial Times

In a rare return trip to London, Dr Demartini will explode the myths, illusions that people run their lives by. Ideas like “a partner will make me happy”, a business will “make me more successful” or “when I am fitter, I will be more attractive”.

He is controversial in his approach and he delivers real answers on how to experience your full potential, what to expect from your efforts and how to achieve greater order as you succeed. He does this in an entirely unique way - there is no one quite like Dr Demartini!

John Demartini’s work can be applied to many areas of life, here's just a taste of what people learn from him:

  • How to identify and dissolve the emotional charge of any memory, experience or person, which may be controlling or disempowering you.
  • Identify your true values and create a greater level of power and leadership.
  • Bring health and vitality to the body by having a balanced mind.
  • Understand the opposite sex and discover the truth about soul mates.
  • Breakthrough limiting beliefs and obstacles that stand in the way of business success.
  • Appreciate wealth and expand your sphere of financial influence.
  • Understand the true nature of Love - why few have it - why even less maintain it - and how you can unleash its power in your partner and yourself.
  • Have the confidence to transform your business into an expression of who you truly are.

Most importantly, this event is an extremely real and practical (and fun) look at why you live the way you do and how to transform your life into your highest vision. This event is a fun and informative look at human behavior in a way that only Dr John Demartini can deliver.

It’s impossible to attend this event without being challenged, moved and changed. Seating is limited - book here >>

His work is the culmination of 34 years of research and study into the practical application of more than 28,000 texts in over 200 different disciplines ranging from psychology, philosophy, metaphysics, theology, neurology and physiology.

At the age of seven John was told he had a learning disability and would never read, write or communicate. At fourteen he was a high school drop out living on the streets and panhandling for food to survive. After a near death experience at seventeen due to severe strychnine poisoning he made a decision that would change his life forever.

"After being given a second chance I made the decision to dedicate my life to becoming a teacher, healer and philosopher. I have been working on that mission for thirty years now. I became a doctor of chiropractic and clinical researcher to understand the essence of healing. I became a professional speaker to master the art of teaching and I became a student of science, theology and philosophy to understand our connection with the divine." - Dr John Demartini

Dr Demartini’s work has captured the attention of celebrities, international sport personalities, noted politicians and UN representatives as the result of the impact his programs are having around the world.

Maxed Out - How much have you borrowed?

Maxed Out: Hard Times, Easy Credit and the Era of Predatory Lenders

I recently watched an interesting movie called Maxed Out by author and director James Scurlock. It was filmed in America in 2006 and it nicely leads into the current credit crunch (now so widespread it is in the dictionary)

The film reveals how banks are lending more and more money to people and actually hope that they can't repay their debts, so they have to pay late charges and more interest. Banks will turn up in universities and offer banking services and credit cards to students willing to give them their details in exchange for a t-shirt or a back pack. Applications are sent in the post to children, the infirm and those that are dead or already bankrupt, so much for up to date and correct credit files (or spying records).

Get the book from Amazon: Maxed Out: Hard Times, Easy Credit

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiOVNWoWTAU

When asked about not lending to the vulnerable and those at the lower end of the economy, therefore reducing the amount of defaulted payments, the answer was simple: That is where the majority of the money is made. The banks and credit card companies prey on the weak and those with little financial knowledge.

If you can't pay or default, the creditors sell the debt to third party companies (like the mafia used to do) and they will then hound you with calls, letters and threats to get the money out of you. Even as far as contacting neighbours and family to shame it out of you by causing embarrassment.

Is your credit file incorrect? They don't care. You want to pay off your debt? They'd rather you didn't. Want to borrow more? Of course.

The US government has been unable to pay the interest on it's loans of around $9 trillion (the US National Debt clock), so it borrows it from the Social Security 'trust' and the amount keeps increasing every year. The UK national debt is estimated at around £1000 billion, how much of the interest is paid by your pension money? The winners in this game? The BANKS!

Do you believe that you should pay back money that you borrowed, then good on you. Did you know that banks want you to stay in debt and end up taking around 2 times interest on the amount you borrowed? So for every pound of principal it is an additional two pounds of interest and charges. Whilst people are worried about what they are going to do, where does this all lead?

To an ever growing amount of debt, people struggling to make payments day to day, poor health and even to suicide! Just remember you are not the only one or alone, there is always a way out. If you are struggling, then seek help now! You can contact Denis or Morris at Just Debt on 01423-541317 for a free consultation to discuss your debt and finances and they will help you find a solution.

After all it is 'just debt' and living your life is so much more important than worrying about things that might never happen! Remember, you don't actually ever own or lose any thing. We are just custodians at the moment, till it is our time to leave them for future generations - take the time to look after your health, your family and those you care about. It's not all about the money!

You can buy the DVD from www.politicaldvds.co.uk for a couple of pounds.

"There's a lot of shame and a lot of guilt attached to the issue of money mismanagement...Everybody feels like the other couple has a perfect marriage and a perfect everything...Turns out, I've met Ken and Barbie and they're broke." -Dave Ramsey

"The size of our problem out there is very large. I regret to say that the word billion does not encompass the nature of the problem." -Alan Greenspan

"Maxed Out does for credit card companies what Super Size Me did for fast food."

Obliterating emotions and attaching meaning to events

My best and worst Chris Howard BTS (Breakthrough To Success) in Manchester and why I won't be crewing with them.

I had offered to crew with BTS, as I'd already been last year but the crew have to be there a day early on Thursday, which was my friend Andy and Tricia's wedding. So I was unable to crew with the team for the event and thought I would just turn up as a participant, enjoy it again and help out in any way that I could in the spirit of sharing and giving.

It was to be a weekend of going through various issues such as self worth and confidence and obliterating emotions using techniques for lasting change. Having forgiveness for others and self - and reasons to live and grow more. I'd even managed to get on stage when they asked for a a volunteer. I was on a high and ready to take on life with a new outlook, especially after Transformation Day!

Afterwards I should have gone home but stayed around a little too long. This was to be my best and worst event ever...

I'd waited for the crew to finish as I was going to go for drinks with some friends and then get a lift home with them. Having helped the crew over the last few days, providing some with a place to stay whilst up north and looking after the VIP's (as a fellow human being as opposed to official crew member,) I thought it would be OK to hang out with them.

My bag had gone missing from outside the main room after the end of the event. Having asked hotel staff, someone had moved it to another part of the hotel. The guy took me to a back room where they had it, which was through the crew's afterparty room. As I went to get it I felt a little awkward passing through as I'd not been invited, although decided to stick around on the way back as I thought it was a sign to be there. I wasn't there for the reason I thought, I was to discover later.

My awkwardness meant I did not feel comfortable enough to even have a soft drink as even I would view that as more than cheeky. I helped Bubbles take her stuff to her car whilst the crew went through one of their group rituals. When I got back and sat down, I explained to one of the crew members that even though I was there in body, it felt like my spirit was waiting just outside the door to the room, as I'd not officially been invited in by anyone. She replied that many of them were glad that I was there and it didn't matter - just as she said this, the crew manager came over and asked me to leave. It was just a couple of words, though they cut right through to my heart at that moment in time.

When I asked if I could stay, as it was 'just me' and having been around for a while, she replied that they can't let one participant in, else they would have to let them all in. The rest had gone home when the event had finished 2 hours ago and I was the only one there, though that was not a good enough reason for her.
My expression must have said it all, because she tried to politely ask me to come back next time and crew - it was too late. The damage had been done. I'd been in an open state all weekend as I'd been in a trusting and controlled environment and now I was feeling vulnerable and alone with all these awful feelings and a pain in my chest. I didn't want to be invited back, I just needed someone to say I was welcome now and allow my spirit to be present as well.
I walked straight out without getting a chance to say goodbye to anyone and off to the train station with tears welling up in my eyes... What did this mean? Was I not valued? Did no-one like me? Why did this woman not want me there? Why was I ejected and rejected again? Why did I feel like I did? After such a wonderful weekend and having finished with a changed mindset, why did this happen to make me question all the positive shifts that had happened?

What meaning could I attach to this event and what could I learn that was positive. I sat in an intense upset state in the railway station asking myself why! I could only come up with more negative and bad feeling towards the woman and myself for over 20 minutes! After all, I'd asked for the situation by sticking around and ignoring my intuition when my body told me it shouldn't be there by having left 'me' outside the door to the room.

After half an hour of what felt like an eternity and a reason to roll up and die, I managed to find some positive meaning of why I had to go through the experience that I did. It was just an event involving myself, a couple of words from a third party and the meaning I had given them. The woman didn't mean any harm and had rules to follow, which were more important to her than allowing me to stay. My friends and the other crew are good caring people and wanted me there - and they are always welcome in my home and at my parties anytime. If my confidence had taken a knock again it was because I'd allowed it to happen. I should have listened to my intuition and trusted my gut instincts. I shouldn't go to parties or events that I've not been personally invited to by the host or organiser. I boarded the 10.42pm train for Huddersfield and left my baggage in Manchester.

Read more about my first positive event here: my Chris Howard experience.

Would I recommend that you attend a Chris Howard seminar? Personal feelings aside, it is reasons like this that you DEFINITELY should. Events occur in our life when, during a certain state, a negative thought pops into your head and attaches a particular meaning to an event. It occurs in a moment and can affect the way you behave in many similar situations for the rest of your life.
By attending this seminar you can deal with such issues and challenges that you have had in the past and allow you to move forward in your life by getting rid of limiting decisions and un-resourceful states of emotion by replacing them with positive ones. Ironically, I may even have to go back to get right on what happened to me this evening.

Knowing these techniques as an NLP practitioner and having NLP friends will allow me to deal with what was brought up for me.

I've had much better experience crewing with Tony Robbins, the team and trainers I worked with are much more welcoming and caring, as I have met them many times since crewing at UPW (Unleash The Power Within).
This one small moment had created a negative anchor for BTS and the Chris Howard group and I'm in no rush to remove it. I will question my earlier decision to do the Fast Track in favour of doing Mastery University.
Will I be crewing at the next BTS? Definitely not! If I don't feel valued as a person before applying for a place with them, I don't wish to be in such an enviroment. It was only a supposedly harmless comment made by one person, though it has left a meaning that, at best, tells me not to go anywhere unless I've been personally invited!

It is scary how far the echoes travel of even the smallest of comments and how long the vibrations can still be felt and heard! Words are more powerful than you may think and even I was surprised, as a NLP practitioner, the effect I allowed the words 'can you leave' have on me! The smallest of things can also be just triggers for something bigger and deeper rooted to come up at any time.
Instead of sharing about a brilliant weekend, I am sat here telling you about what it meant to me at the end...

Are you thinking why do I share some of my innermost thoughts and feelings with you and anyone else reading this? It's because my soul feels lighter for writing it and hopefully it will help you learn a little about yourself too. So thanks for stopping by and helping lighten the load.

Trust, reality and woo woo! How many sides does a coin really have?

Trust
Trust is something you have with someone that you are in rapport with. For example with a friend or a stranger who gives you a good vibe. It is something that is felt and can not really be verbalised or bought. When someone you trust tells you something then it is taken for granted and as truth. You do not need to check up on anything and you take what you are told as fact. Who do you trust? And is your trust written in the sand or engraved in stone?

What is Reality?
Reality is what we create. Things just are. We attach the meaning to them whether it be good or bad, right or wrong, happy or sad. This is just us projecting our values onto them and it makes it true - but remember it makes it true only for you and not another person viewing that event. Your beliefs create your reality and your reality your beliefs!

If we look for good people, we will only see good people. If you KNOW you had a good experience with someone, then it WAS a good experience. If someone had a bad experience then it was bad!

When someone you trusts tells you something, it becomes reality. When this goes against what you already believe, then this causes you to really think. Questions will come up like, are they talking about the same person or event? Are they sure? Are they lying? Was my view of the experience wrong? Did I misjudge something? What is the truth and real?

When your reality is shaken it can be an uncomfortable thing. As it is usually not in the physical sense, which your five senses can try to deal with and understand. Which will win, your value system and beliefs or the new one's given to you by someone else. Or you could always be open-minded and combine the two and see what you come up with.

My reality is still work in progress and I like it my way. Although I like to hear other viewpoints and expand it. Sometimes even I get confused and do not know what is real anymore. Yes, even in this world that I created!

Woo-woo (as my friend calls it)
For example the person you see in the shadows or at the end of the bed. Are they really there or is a figment of your imagination. As kids we would have hidden under the covers or called out to our parents. Well we're all now grown ups, so we rationalise it as being shadows or the mind playing tricks on us whilst we are half asleep. That's all it is after all!?
Now what if someone told you they were real, how would you feel? Probably something you don't want to think about, right. Just maybe they are telling you the truth though, they aren't intentionally trying to scare you, just giving you another viewpoint of what really is. The fear is yours and put onto the thought by you.
Then again, what if that entity was an angel, would it then be something to be afraid of or a blessing? That same silhouette now helps you sleep. It is what you make it.

Someone complained I was getting 'philosophical and shit' last week (i think the two things are mutual for many people) so I will leave you here with the 'spiritual and stuff'. Some things in life people don't want to think about; for example stepping out of the rat race, knowing they can achieve whatever they want, getting philosophical and thinking, to realising they have a spiritual side and that their is another world beyond what we can see. So who am I to disturb your comfort... I know as I don't always appreciate it when people shake my world. This is yours to read and take or leave as you wish.

Remember no-one is right or wrong, things just are. Everyone is good and has the best of intentions. Good people do what we perceive to be bad things. This does not make them bad though, after all - to see certain traits in a person, we have to possess them first.
Think of a time you may have done something, that when you look back at it now, falls into your definition of bad. And you know that you're a good person and soul!

Angels and devils, saints and sinners, they're one and the same.

How many sides does a coin have?
If you answered two, do you see both sides of a story or just your own?
Three sides? Well done, people sometimes forget about the rim.
Four or more sides? Just because we can't see the inside doesn't mean it's not there!
Back in the two-dimensional world (yes, I wrote 2D) that the majority of people live in:
“It doesn’t matter how many sides the coin has. The only thing people can see is the money!”

Next time you come across something that you think is one way, stop and take a moment to take a look at all the others as well and those sides that may be there. Pass no judgement on them, as they all just are different sides to the whole - and that whole is also you...
