Happy Days, Moments, Feelings & Memories

Why I don’t celebrate/do Birthdays in the traditional sense… and where I’m at now.

My new year usually starts on my birthday, when I reflect on life, where I’ve been and where I’d like to go.

What is it about birthdays and completing another full orbit of the Sun from the first day we are born and see it? Some people enjoy them, others don’t.
The day of birth itself, of a star child choosing to be born on planet Earth, should be enough in itself and the only ‘birth day’ of importance or consequence.

First we want to have as many birthdays as soon as possible, in a rush to grow up, then we wish time would slow and we’d have longer to make the orbit.
Too many people then start to count and worry about the orbits that they have around the fire at the centre of our solar system (that we barely know anything about, never mind the rock that we stand on).
Shouldn’t we be more concerned about what we do with the time we have than the ‘time’ passing by?

So why don’t I celebrate birthdays?
(You can substitute birthdays, with Christmas, New Year, Valentines Day or any holiday where you’re made to feel you can’t be alone and/or made to feel that you must buy stuff for others to show you care).
Well birthdays (holidays) are supposed to be wonderful days with energy focused on them and everything happening as you wish. But how often didn’t the day go to plan, someone let you down, nobody showed up, you didn’t get what you wanted or something horrible happened?
Was it more often than something amazing happened on that day?  Wishes weren’t fulfilled, hopes weren’t met creating an unpleasant memory.

The problem is expectations. Reality can’t always meet them. And these days are ‘meant’ (pressured) to be perfect through expectations, wishes and others telling you.
Yet all the other days of the year without the expectations often turn out pretty well if you let them, without attaching so much emotion. Many of them are pretty outstanding if you think about it.

Oh, another reason I don’t enjoy them much is a lot of these days happen in Winter for me - a time when it’s cold, wet, miserable and as other sensitive people that are tuned in and affected by the environment will tell you; it’s just a nice time to be indoors, less social, relax and hibernate as nature intended.

So I don’t value birthdays as much as others do, hence I may not remember yours or wish you a happy one.
That does not mean I don’t care about you - or think about you more often than once or twice a year.
It’s the idea of the birthday itself I don’t value as opposed to the people that have them :-)
I’d rather see you, meet with you and laugh with you any day of the year - to make it worthwhile and memorable.

With regards to gifts, people usually give others what they themselves value highly and would like.
As a recipient, it is your job to just be grateful for the thought and person doing the giving, no matter what you get (or don’t).
Yes it would be nice to communicate what you like and get that - but gifts are about giving, not the item itself.
You’ve probably heard about the ‘five languages of love’, which is a nice thought to please other people, so you are speaking their language, with gifts being one of them - but there is something called ‘real love’ that is unconditional.
‘Real love’ doesn’t rely on people doing the things you want them to, you are just grateful and love them for who they are, as they are, for doing the best they can and being their true selves.

---

So, what did I do for my birthday?
The day before I went to finally watch the new Star Wars reboot.
A quiet matinee showing at a time I chose, in a quiet cinema.
(It’s great not following the media and society to need to watch/do things when they want you to)
I received a food hamper of ‘healthy-ish’ snacks from my sister, that she chose.
My current diet suggests I don’t eat a lot of the stuff but I needed the calories so tucked in (I’ll cover that in a moment)
I also Skyped my nephews in Canada (aged 6 and 9) and told them I’d bought them tickets to Star Wars for my birthday and my sister would take them.
(I hadn’t but if they’d been here I would have taken them. Yes they enjoyed the film!)

On my birth day I went for a local pub lunch with my parents and uncle - because that’s all I wanted to do.
In the evening I went to the supermarket to get some milk for the following day and some food. Not very exciting but it also beats getting drunk and hungover!
(Which was expected as a teenager, in your 20’s and unfortunately for the rest of some people’s lives if they haven’t learned or matured much since)

The following day, I got back to the gym and did 40 laps.
New years resolution is start getting fit and healthy again, something I’d stopped doing after getting ill in late Autumn.

Did I need more stuff to be happy? No. Just to do some nice things that I wanted to do.
One of my better birthday weekends to be honest.

---

I usually don’t tell/remind people it’s my birthday but I’d not been well recently so it’s the first time I’d left it on my FB and left my status open for people to leave messages, as I could really use that extra ‘juice’ and goodwill to get over this last hurdle.
I wasn’t expecting the first-time messages from ‘networkers’ cloaked as gifts and self-promotion - or people I’m not even sure how they got on my friends list, good time to have a purge I guess!

I do appreciate everyone that has sent a card, gift, message, good wishes - and I also appreciate those of you that didn’t, for still being there for me when I need you.

Of course birthdays aside, I’m still grateful for EVERY day I wake up and there’s no wood (of the ‘coffin’ variety as opposed to ‘morning glory’)

A few years ago my life and health started fluctuating, getting worse just before this Xmas but now on the mend. Like seasons, it was just a time and phase we all have to go through to some degree at different times in our lives.
Losing my business, work, home, health, relationships and having ’nothing’ was a humbling experience. Although one I would never want to wish away as if it never happened.
I remember a friend who I worked with that used to say “If only they had my problems and me theirs, then they wouldn’t complain!”
I’d reply that everyone is fighting a hard fight and has challenges and we should be grateful for just our troubles - and not wish them on anyone else or ask for theirs.

It is in those low moments of visiting nothing, where you find out what is real.  I say visiting, as some people forget and stay there leading to severe depression and worse.

This of course did lead to depression (which can come in many forms) and is also known as “the dark night of the soul.”

The reason people have problems is because they think it’s only them and don’t share them, with the aim of getting another viewpoint and solution (as opposed to having people give you attention and ‘feel sorry’ for you.)
Tell someone, talk about it, ask for help and be prepared to accept it.
Most people won't judge you as they have similar problems themselves.
You just have to be vulnerable and put yourself out there.

On top of that my nerves were shot as well and I literally had no energy… I’d lost my ‘mojo’  :-(

Stomach issues, meant I was not travelling much and the simple social interaction of meeting for lunch or having a drink was difficult - so I wouldn’t. It also meant I'd inadvertently found a new rapid weight-loss plan (being ill is definitely a plan I wouldn't recommend).
Not wanting to get up on a morning or leave the house, which rolled one day to the next.
I thought it was life and stress that was causing a clear out of all the shit in my life.
I tried all sorts, from homeopaths, nutritionists, acupuncture, chinese herbal medicine, meditation, Qi Gong, psychic surgeons, intuitives etc.. all with no permanent solution. Just a knowing that I would be well again soon.

Being near a bathroom was my biggest concern… too much information?
Having to do a Usain Bolt beating 100 metre dash at a moment’s notice was priority most of the time.
Well I finally went to the hospital in the New Year and put my faith and trust in the doctors. I had a camera up my bum and down my throat (different cameras, not the same one!) to finally give me the all clear. Now is that too much info?
I did ask if they did souvenir DVD’s for me to upload to Youtube but they don’t (now that would be too much).

Funnily enough I’ve been feeling much better since. I think they give you the hospital food and procedures so you DON’T want to stick around!

It was a great experience being unwell, as although I may not have got all the answers I needed to help me, I learned loads and probably gathered enough info to help people with their random problems.  When we have a challenge in our lives, it forces us to look at it and find the lessons we need to learn so we can move on.

---

Now if birthdays aren’t important to me, what is?

Moments are what is important.

I’d rather have more magical moments, feelings and memories than revolutions around the sun. It’s special moments that make it all worthwhile.

What is a moment?
When you are happy, grateful and enjoying yourself.
Be it alone, in nature or with other people.
All we need to do is share a smile, hug, a few kind words to create a moment and memory that you can cherish. It doesn’t have to happen at a particular time, it can be anytime and even when you least expect it.

'At the end of the day people won't remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel.' - Maya Angelou

There used to be a time when I’d catch up will people all the time, I’d even jump on a plane if I’d promised to be somewhere to meet someone.

I realise I’ve not seen or spoken to a lot of people but that doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten you or not thought of you. I know everyone else is going through their own challenges, so expecting them to be part of mine would have been unfair.

Well I’ve started to get my energy back and the mojo has returned.
So it’s time for me to make amends for my extended absence and give solace to others.

- So now, if you want to catch up and chat, about anything, from life, health, relationships, love, depression, personal development or fun times. Send me a message.
I’ll even help you find your mojo if it’s been missing for a while!

- If you want to meet up to talk about your properties, business, online marketing, then you can buy me lunch and I can help you make/save money.  I used to do free Skype calls but after putting in many hours helping people (because I wanted to), I found it strange that if I asked them to take 5 minutes to write me a two sentence testimonial, I wouldn’t hear back.
Not that it was an expectation, it just made me wonder if people valued my time if I didn’t value it.
Hence now you’re going to have to come to me and at least buy me lunch if it’s a money related discussion you’re after. I love to help, so would do it for free - but it’s good to be fed and eat as well.

I know I need to get out more and I’m sure you do too! So give me a shout.

The great thing about varied life experiences is that everyone has a lot of experience to draw upon and learn from, as well as share with other.
Also once you’ve been in some dark, strange, weird places in life, they make great stories that you can laugh about afterwards.  A sense of humour is a must to survive life without going completely mad.

This invitation is open to any of my friends I know, have spoken to, met in person or chatted online. So if that isn’t you, it would just be weird.
Also I’m not suggesting you invite me to any ‘business opportunities’ or ‘cult meetings’ (as much as I secretly enjoy such things and a good social), I like to be told in advance where I’m going.

Don’t worry my rants aren’t as random/mental in real life (or are they?)
I like to get my thoughts out of the way on my blog when I can, it’s a safe place for them and believe it or not they’re edited as well!
Remember think about anything you want, while you still can - before thinking is made illegal!

Anyway, I’m not going to wish you a happy birthday in advance or later - I just want to wish you HAPPY DAYS as often as possible.

See you soon and lets create some memories,

Bobby :-)

How To Have Better Luck This Month / Year

Well as the New Year is upon us, many will be reflecting on the past and thinking about their hopes for the future.  Too many people will be looking back and thinking what they didn't achieve, do or make happen last year and feel disappointed.

It is all a matter of perspective though. Do you really want to think about what went 'wrong'!?

What if you focus on what you DID achieve, do and make happen?
Wouldn't you then be grateful for everything instead...

This is something that Dr John Demartini posted that you should read carefully and meditate upon.
"As you reflect on 2015, think about what you have accomplished during the course of this year. It is wise to think of what you have achieved in the different areas of your life.

Exercise:
1. Spiritually what have you achieved?
2. Vocationally what have you achieved?
3. Mentally what have you achieved?
4. Financially what have you achieved?
5. Familial what have you achieved?
6. Physically what have you achieved?
7. Socially what have you achieved?"

Do you now see how successful your year actually was? The great things that DID happen and achievements that make you happy when you think about them.

Let's talk about NOW! Note how this post is title "How To Have Better Luck THIS Month"
People tend to make plans for the future, then when it is time to do something, they fail to take the right actions. How familiar does this sound... "Tomorrow (next week/month) I will do X"?
I used to be a first class procrastinator, so I know from experience. How does "Now I will do X" feel?

Also 'luck' is a completely different subject which I'll cover another time - for now you'll just have to create it with some decisions, commitment and a little work.

Instead, ask yourself if what you are doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow. The actions don't have to be huge or drastic, they just need to be in alignment with what you really want.

Of course it's good to make plans for the future to know where you're going but you need to take the right steps regularly as well.  So if there is something you want to achieve, why not START today...

Let's look at 3 areas that people are usually concerned about and the language they use.

- Health
- "I want to lose weight" or "I want to get fit"
Is that what they really mean? Do they believe if they lose x lbs/kgs they will be happier?
Do they see 'fit' as the (fake) or extremely 'perfect' people on TV and magazines?
Maybe thinking about it as "I want to be healthy" would be better...
This way the focus is on a healthy lifestyle and if you're overweight, your body knows what it's ideal weight is (not a 'right' weight from a textbook) and will get back there, as long as you work with it, instead of eating crap food and excess calories for the sake of it.

- How about... "I want to quit drinking" or "I want to stop eating so much junk food"
This time it is about stopping something, which is probably now a habit on auto-pilot. Society, family and you have trained yourself to make this something that you just do without even thinking most of the time.
It's simple to make the decision not to eat the wrong foods - but it isn't necessarily easy when that's what you're used to. Also the habit needs to be replaced with something else, something that is beneficial and will do you good.

Maybe rephrase it as "I want to start drinking more water and fresh juice" and "I want to eat healthier foods".   When you've decided this is what you want to do instead, commit to it!
Don't say "I'll just finish this off first though."  Take action and either give away the alcohol (to friends) and fizzy drinks, biscuits and other poor food choices, lying around the kitchen, to a charity. Or simply pour it down the sink and throw it in the bin. You don't have to finish it (as you eating it won't benefit those 'starving people' with any twisted logic or justification you can dream up.)

Remember you've not started on your new path until you're moving off the old one.
You can eat crap sometimes later, if you want - but give yourself a fighting chance by avoiding it altogether for at least a couple of weeks!
When I stopped drinking around 8 years ago, I used to go out with my student and work friends 3-4 times a week.  During my first 2 weeks of tee-total (and vegetarian) they tested me and gave me so much grief and pressure to conform to my (their) old habits. But I persevered and won and felt better for it. I do occasionally drink now and eat meat but the difference is that I don't need to and it doesn't control my food choices.  I committed and stuck with my plan, regardless of outside temptations. It was a test of will-power but you CAN do whatever it is that you really want to achieve.

- Wealth
- "I want to make more money"
Will making more money make you happier? Will it ease your financial burdens or will you just spend more on stuff that you don't really need?
Maybe say "I want to utilise money smarter". This could mean looking at your expenditure and reducing any waste. Cancel the Direct Debits for subscriptions you don't need or use that much. Find a cheaper insurance company and utility supplier.  Don't waste as much money on crap you don't need but just wanted one day.  You'll find you'll end up with more money.
Of course you can also look at ways to make more money as well - but if you've not reduced your costs where you can save it today - you may find your bad habits spend/waste any extra you would earn as well.

- Relationships
- "I need to find a partner who will love me."
Do you really need someone else to be loved? Of course it's great to be appreciated by others but if you have low self-worth, lack confidence and don't really love yourself, finding a partner to fill that gap will only be a temporary fix.
How about a mantra of "I am worthy of love" and "I am enough as I am"
"I am going to be more confident" - find out how you can be more confident in life and happy being with yourself. You will then also become more attractive to others, as they will see you are love and happy - and who doesn't like to be around those kinds of people!? You know when you're around someone like this as you feel good about yourself too.  You don't need someone else to be love - but once you find love within yourself, you will find it around you too.
(Of course this is a deeper topic, I just wanted to touch upon it here to give you another perspective if you'd not considered it before).

How could you rephrase what you think about these areas and others that you want to see improvements in?  Can you change the words you use, so they make more sense, have more impact and are easier to achieve?

Once you've done that, you also need to get started on making things happen.

- Commitment
First you need to decide your new goals that you want to take action and make a commitment to actually DO things differently.  To tell people publicly is a sign to show the world that you are actually serious about the new cause and activities you are going to embark upon.
This leads into the next step...

- Accountability
After deciding and committing to a course of action, you need to make sure you actually do it and take steps towards your goals. You can reach your goals without this but what better way than for someone to ask you regularly how you are getting on?
To be held accountable, tell a friend (who won't let you off easily) and trusts that you will do what you say. They will keep you on track and support you in making sure you honour your word (commitment).

- Honesty
You have to be honest with yourself and your accountability partner.
What do you have to gain by lying to yourself about what you want or are prepared to do? If your heart isn't in it, simply don't commit to it. You'll only end up feeling bad when you don't do what you said you would.
Also why lie to someone who you've asked to help you stay on track.  The whole point of accountability is to be held responsible to your commitments.

If you're unable or unwilling to be honest, then this is something you really need to work on.
Too many people, lie too often and think it is inconsequential. It is not!
Your character is built on what you say, mean and is true.
Actions speak louder than words anyway - and if you lie, you will not be congruent and out of alignment with yourself and life.  Don't live a fraudulent life but an honest one.
Maybe this could be the one thing that makes you luckier and changes your life drastically this year?

Now you may need need some new strategies to achieve the goals you've committed to.
You might already have strategies to get to your goals.
Ask yourself, have they worked for you in the past?
Do you believe they are the only way to do it?
Some people are only interested in doing things 'their way' and what they already know. They don't like to find out more or do things a different way. Others don't like to ask for help or accept it - they'd rather remain 'stuck' than do and get what they say they really want.

Why not find someone who has the results you want and ask them how they achieved it.
Wouldn't it be simpler to do it by following their strategies?
Seek out a coach or mentor. There are people that love to help others, as it makes them feel good about themselves, valued and they are also making your life better and the world a better place.
You just have to be vulnerable, share your challenges and ASK for help.

Joining the gym in January and quitting in February might not be working for you.
Getting a personal trainer instead, to hold you accountable as well, would be a better solution.

Of course if you decide what you said you wanted to do changes - or you don't want to do it anymore, then that's OK too. It's not failure if you decide you want to do something else instead or you don't really value what you thought you did. Other things might be more important to you and trying something new will show you what you do and don't value in life.

Remember change is simple, although it might not always be easy.
You know what you want to do, the next step is doing it consistently.

Take The Correct Actions AND Do Them Often To Create New Beneficial Habits!

I've coached and worked with people and entrepreneurs, who started off on one path but then decided they didn't want to continue, it was too much hard work or they wanted to do something else instead.
That's fine! It's your life and you can do whatever you want to. No-one should decide your goals or force you to do something you really don't want to. Of course sometimes it's worth persevering but it's always YOUR choice!  People should love you and accept you as you are!

Send me a message to let me know what you're committing to and I'll even check in regularly to see how you're getting along if you want. It doesn't matter what area of your life you want to improve, it always helps to have someone supportive hold you accountable to doing what you say.

Well this was a stream of consciousness that I typed up, then tried to structure so it was easy to read. Forgive me if I go off on tangents - if you know me though, I usually do but everything has a point in the end!

I hope this has been useful and if you want to make a public commitment to do something, then do so.  Post it on Facebook/Twitter and tell people that you know.  Or send me a message if I can support you in any other way.

Let's make this day/week/month/year a most excellent one!

Look After Where You Live - Healthy Body and Mind

This is my journey through health and nutrition in the last year.  Due to various health issues, dis-ease and stress, I decided to research things that would benefit me and make my life better, I consider it 'health' or 'home insurance', as things had gotten so bad that I needed to ensure I have somewhere to 'live' in the future and call home. So never mind about the stories for now, on how we got here, lets move forward with the solutions.  Here are my findings…

Of course there could be an entire book on each section, so be grateful I've put the 'highlights' into one short(ish) blog post for you to check out. (That was the intention and I have been adding bits since I started).
This has been compiled from many random ideas and areas, so may not 'flow' so well but all the information I want to share can be found if you read it all, then back to front and dip into the different sections.

This is what I'd recommend that you look at and USE to find out if it is good and works for you.
Of course it takes work and habit building to get used to a diet change (diet meaning "what you eat" not "lose weight plan"). Once you do make the changes though, you'll feel better for it.

Buying REAL food will cost more money than you're used to, I know as I spent most of my money on this in the last year.  But if you don't invest in yourself and prefer to waste it on other stuff, then that's your choice.  People always find time and money to spend on those things they VALUE. Is valuing your health, nutrition and wellbeing more important than everything else?
Look after your body as it's the only place you have to live.

Remember your diet and food intake is only part of the important stuff to ensure you have somewhere to live (your body).

As well as the food stuff listed below, also keep in check your mind, associations and environment.  I'm going to cover the basics of the others briefly.

The issue is never what you originally think it is or as complicated. Remember a car (your body) is a complicated machine but it usually only takes a small simple part/nut/bolt that may become loose and cause problems elsewhere in the vehicle. It's about finding that small tweak that you need, diet helps but you also need to check on all the other factors.
You can go see a mechanic/specialist (doctor, energy healer, acupuncturist, herbalist, homeopath etc.) or if they can't find the problem, keep looking and maybe train/become a specialist yourself. It does not take as long as 'they' want you to believe to become knowledgeable about anything, you just need to be good at asking questions, finding answers and listening/learning.

What goes in is what comes out, so GIGO (garbage in=garbage out). This applies to your physical body through digestion and your mind.  Your mind is very powerful and will manifest most of your ill health and dis-ease, so  dealing with the food intake is only a small part of getting back to full and vital health.

Body: What you eat (covered below) and exercise. Check out "4 Hour Body by Tim Ferris" book for the exercise stuff. Create better habits for eating and exercising.  Even if you just start with gentle exercise such as swimming and a sauna. http://fourhourbody.com/

Mind: Relax and meditate more.  Meditation has two forms, there is the stuff that relaxes you and puts you to sleep and then there is the wakeful meditation, that wakes you up and makes you AWARE of everything.
The Vortex by Abraham Hicks http://www.abraham-hicks.com/

Use your computer less or mindfully. Safari Browser add-on 'Mindful Browsing' - http://www.mindfulbrowsing.com can block access to time wasting sites like Facebook and Gmail etc.
Firefox Browser use 'Consciousness Bell' to stop and become mindful for a moment: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/consciousness-bell/
Go to the bar at the top of Firefox Browser, then Tools > Add-Ons > Extensions > Consciousness Bell > Preferences, to change the settings

Habits- become aware, choose to consciously stop, stop, replace with new empowering habit. Don't beat yourself if you slip, just breathe and start again.

Remember these are my experiences and may not work for you. (Although your resistance might be from your mind to the idea of changing)

Associations: Avoid people that talk negative, always seem to have problems, bring you down.  Seek out and replace them with people that are positive, work their way through things, uplift your soul!
It is common sense - you don't need to save anyone, it's THEIR journey, dump them if it is affecting you! Nope don't need to hear your rationalisation and excuses/reasons.

Environment: The things that are around you and what you allow to enter your mind and body.
TV, media, radio, where you live and work/career.  Avoid watching crap TV. Don't read/listen to 'News' daily (if it's important for you, you will hear about it eventually).  I'm not saying ignore the 'bad' (perceived) news, just see the benefits of it and solutions - not the fear and problems they are selling!
A lot of the stuff that you see and hear throughout the day is subliminal and you unconsciously pick it up, be aware of it and reject it. Are those that live around you inspiring or is it time to move?
Fill the gaps with good material (films, documentaries, books, audios) that inspires you and supports you. Find a hobby you enjoy to keep you busy and occupied.
Don't give your 'energy' to pendulums and false idols that will feed off it, ie. don't get emotionally invested in some other celebrity's journey or TV show. Put that emotional investment into your own life.

Sunlight - make sure you go out in the sun as often as possible. Not too long that it burns you though, best times are early morning or late afternoon. Lack of sun affect you in winter? Get a SAD (seasonal affected disorder) light from http://www.sad.org.uk/recommended.php
If lack of sunlight affects you that much, move somewhere sunny.

Oxygen - Remember to BREATHE. Properly and deeply. Can help with doing aerobic exercise and/or listening to breathing meditation CDs. I still need to work on my breathing regularly, sometimes breathing shallow or forgetting to breathe properly.  Of ALL the personal development events and seminars I've been to this is the MOST important lesson I've ever learned.

Work - do you enjoy your job? If not see if you can improve conditions, eg. Transfer to different department, ask to go on a training course to improve your skills, work from home, ask for flexible hours. Really dislike it? Get a new job or start a business on the side.
Many businesses can be started cheaply, provide training, you can do part-time and from home.
Look into Internet Marketing business which you can do from anywhere in the world from a laptop, for example: check out www.NetworkMillionaire.net/biz/

Energy: This will be noticed more by sensitive people, especially if your energy is low or not well protected it will be affected by weather change, big 'news' on Earth, other planetary effects, other people around you.
Look after your energy fields and your sensitivity around other people.  A lot more can be said on this but it still won't answer your questions. To keep it simple look after your energy, rest if you need to; say 'No' to requests if you don't feel like it, stay away from people that make you feel 'bad' and find out more about managing your energy.

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” -Nikola Tesla

Energy blockages are from the past/present/future when something happened to you or somebody said something, you interpreted it a certain way and locked it in. Be responsible for your own thoughts and how you react to situations.
Learn to trust people more. If they betray that trust, forgive them, remember the lessons learned and move on.  Being defensive may protect you but it also limits your experience and learning. Don't grip onto heartache and bad feelings.

Hope I covered enough there, see my compiled food info below.

Don't believe everything I write about, research it yourself and most importantly try it out and experience it for yourself.
None of it is likely to kill you, slow death foods can be bought from McDonalds and your local supermarkets (read the ingredients on labels). Quicker death supplements can be prescribed by your regular doctors (read the warning labels).

>> Use Google to find out more info on these products and why they are beneficial/good for you, then try them out <<

Bobby

P.S. Please share the link to this page if you find it of value (it took me a few hours to write and months of education and experimentation on myself)

-----------

You know what to avoid! Usually you just don't want to as you are addicted to the products.
Stop buying them or keeping them in your fridge, even if it is for your partner/family etc. If they want crap, let them go out and get it for themselves.  They may even benefit from the good stuff that you are going to take. (my 4 and 7 year old nephews love to try new stuff I get, especially the different juices and they've taken a liking to chia seed too!)

So let's get the "what to avoid" list out of the way first. By 'avoid' I mean things you know you should 'cut down' on as much as you can/are prepared to:
Alcohol
Sugar
Wheat
Dairy
Coffee
Meat
Refined food
Processed crap
Fast food
Fake juices and flavoured water (read the label to see if the main ingredients are water, then SUGAR)
Replace your regular salt and pepper with whole pepper and rock salts, that you need to use a grinder for. You will find that they also taste much better as well.
Regular fruit and vegetables, as many as 50 pesticides can be found on many of them and you can only wash off so much, the rest of course finds its way into the food and into your body.
Companies and food producers are not required to label GMO (genetically modified) foods, fruit, veg. So if it doesn't say "Organic" it probably isn't (Google:"Monsanto")
Buy ORGANIC Fruit and vegetable whenever you can!
You can't always guarantee an Organic 'label' as it costs money but your local health food shop will be able to tell you the source of their products and if they are 'natural' (eg. grown in the wild/Amazon etc.)  You can also tell after eating the organic/real/natural fruit and nuts if it tastes 'real' and natural or is relatively tasteless and processed.
It is supermarket 'packaged' products you have to watch out for that is not labelled Organic!

If you must eat meat and eggs, make sure it is locally farm reared. When you eat it, think about and be grateful for the animal that you're about to consume.
Eat consciously, read labels and research non-natural ingredient names you do not understand to find out what addictive and/or dangerous chemicals companies encourage you to put in your bodies so they can make profit.

Food:
Dark Leafy Greens - Kale, spinach, asaparagus, broccoli
Hemp Seeds (contain all 22 amino acids, and a balanced ratio of essential fatty acids)
Nuts
- Chia seed for Omega 3 (organic, dark) - sprinkle on food or mix with water to drink - contain essential fats, dietary fibre, protein, vitamins and minerals
- Brazil nuts (organic) contains good quantities of vitamins, anti-oxidants and minerals. Including vitamin E, B-complex, protein, calcium, iron, zinc, selenium, magnesium, copper, manganese, potassium, and phosphorus.
- Walnuts (organic) are rich source of energy and contain health benefiting nutrients, minerals, antioxidants and vitamins that are essential for optimum health. Include omega 3, vitamin E, manganese, copper, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, and selenium
Many people recommend and swear by a 'raw food' diet. I personally prefer to have at least one hot meal a day, especially in cold weather.  Jacket Potatoes (these are not essential but I do love my JP's for dinner, so I'm recommending them)

Eat less Acidic foods and more Alkaline foods.

"Cancerous tissues are acidic, whereas healthy tissues are alkaline. Water splits into H+ and OH- ions, if there is an excess of H+, it is acidic; if there is an excess of OH- ions, then it is alkaline." - Dr. Otto Heinrich Warburg on The Root Cause of Cancer; effectively stating that 'Cancer can not exist in an alkaline body'!

Drink:
Lots of water, ideally with a slice of fresh lemon (lemon actually alkalises the water making it better for you)
Coconut water for better hydration, potassium and electrolytes (I prefer www.VitaCoco.com)
Fresh Vegetable juice, made yourself from organic vegetables
Fresh Fruit Juice
Find juice recipes from Jason Vale here www.juicemaster.com
Remove cow juice (dairy milk) from your diet, alternatives to try are Soya milk (organic of course), Almond milk, Coconut milk.

Greens in general are good but taste like swamp water
The following are nicer but still have a slight gritty/muddy taste ;-)
Well worth it for the benefits though.

Vega One (see below for ingredients and suppliers)

Essential Supplements:
- B12 drops
- Vitamin D drops
- Calcium and selenium will be covered by the nuts
- Omega 3 will be covered by the Chia Seeds

Diet programmes, fads and supplements are only good for people who eat lots of crappy processed food and have a poor diet to start with.
Anyone who changes their diet away from refined, processed foods to a lower calorie 'shake' will see an improvement, although I am wary of the contents and trying to decipher the questionable ingredients of many of them.
If you are already eating sensibly and want to improve your diet and health, then check out Vega products for "clean, plant based nutrition" - http://myvega.com/
Vega One is similar to (in my opinion and to give you an idea) a 'slim fast shake' - not for the purpose of losing weight but the fact it works as a meal replacement by making you feel full, from all that good stuff they cram in there.
You should look at real health supplements and changing your eating habits for the long term, not a get fit quick scheme or fad diets.

"On the topic of stress and inflammation, Adam explained that when you’re upset, there’s a direct neurological connection to your gut. Interestingly, your skin and gastrointestinal tract (GI tract) are continuous, like a donut shape, so any gut issues will show-up on your skin. Inflammation in your gut is largely due to stress and diet.  An inflamed gut attracts water (bloating) which can be a temporary discomfort.  However, when the GI tract is inflamed over a long period of time, the chronic inflammation damages the cells and results in something called “leaky gut”. In a healthy gut, cells are positioned tightly together.  In contrast, the damaged cells in a leaky gut are held loosely together which results in particles leaking into the blood stream that shouldn’t be there.  This can break down the immune system and result in a wide range of chronic diseases including skin cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s and congestive heart failure. To improve your nutrition he suggests adding glutamine, probiotics and omega 3s. "

Healthy living is a way of being and commitment to better eating habits, the same way people commit themselves to 'bad' habits such as eating chocolate bars, drinking fizzy pop, alcohol consumption and smoking cigarettes for example. These are choices that have been made and a continuing commitment to continue with.

Decide today to replace chosen 'bad' habits with better ones that serve you and your health.

Fast Forward Your Business 2012 #FFYB2012 and Juice More!

Did you miss the Fast Forward Your Business 2012 (FFYB2012) Tour in the UK with Wealth Dynamics creator Roger Hamilton.

It was great and covered loads of brilliant info like the the Top 10 Future Waves and Trends that are going to change the way we all do business.
There were also some of the top UK Changemakers present at the events in London and Manchester.
Also covered were the Seasons of the Internet and some really cool videos of the trends and what's happening around the World right now!

Roger has a way of thinking differently and finding information that you wouldn't come across otherwise. Do you think it's important to know what's coming up so you can be ready?

In the great tradition of taking notes and sharing with those that were unable to make it, luckily I took comprehensive Notes at both events and compiled them for you into one Notes pack.

Get over to my website and download the full Notes here >> Fast Forward Your Business 2012

I would also recommend you get your Wealth Dynamics Profile done and attend the Live online Global FFYB2012. You can get your Profile done, the Your Life Your Legacy Ebook, download videos of FFYB2011 and more here: Fast Forward Your Business Global Livecast

You can also download my Notes here >> Fast Forward Your Business 2012

Remember to click Like on that Page as well and Tweet it to your friends, that is of course if you find the Notes of value (which I'm sure the answer is YES) and think your friends will benefit from them.

Regards,
Bobby

P.S. By the way, I was just having a discussion on facebook about; if you're feeling the effects of what's going on at the moment (with regards to the cosmic clear-out), that it's a good time to drink vegetable juice and get on the greens. I feel much better after juicing carrots and celery, it might become my 'pint of the usual' now!

My friend Toni Brodelle suggested also trying spinach, apple, lemon, courgette, cucumber and blend it with avocado. Remembering to clean the juicer immediately after juicing and before you drink your juice is a much quicker way to do it… even if you have to wait a little bit longer to enjoy your juice.
(I won't bore or scare you with the colonics discussion.)

Anyway, enjoy reading the notes and serve with a healthy juice for optimum reading and well-being pleasure :-)

New Psychiatric Mental Illness - do you suffer from being O.D.D.?

Will you do what you believe to be right or conform?
Question authority or do as you are told?
Think or obey?

Below is an article I found on mental health and psychiatry. Never mind the Terrorist Act, the powers that be can also use the excuse of Mental Health to invade your privacy, life and make you do what they say. Control through government sanctioned force rather than reasoning is the order of the day!

Asking for your rights could cause you to be diagnosed as having Oppositional Defiant Disorder (another made up 'disease') - remember you are free to do what we tell you and don't dare question it.  Do you suffer from O.D.D. and being unique? Maybe it's time to fall back in line if you're not strong enough to have an opinion.

Remember: THINK, it's not illegal yet! Or is it…

Bobby

"Though portrayed as a harmless, natural consequence of the progression of science, medicine and law, there is substantial risk that accompanies this shift in thinking. When the pseudo-science of psychiatry becomes an arm of the state, it enables abusers of state power to stigmatize and control people.

To illustrate how psychiatry is closer to social science than medical science, journalist Charley Reese used to contrast it with the actual science of neurology that studies the physical structures of the brain. He would point out how psychiatry claims to study the intangible products of the physical brain such as thought, behavior and imagination. Of these three areas, only behavior can actually be observed.

According to Dr. Thomas S. Szasz, psychiatry has consistently served as an arm of the law since its development nearly 300 years ago. Dr. Szasz claims that psychiatry provides the state with a means of dealing with those deemed inconvenient when he writes, “If we recognize that ‘mental illness’ is a metaphor for disapproved thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, we are compelled to recognize as well that the primary function of psychiatry is to control thought, mood, and behavior.”

But what the state considers a nuisance isn’t strictly limited to those with true mental defects. It also applies to individuals who, for a variety of reasons, refuse to submit unconditionally to the state’s authority or demands.

Free thinkers, constitutionalists, Oath Keepers, nonconformists, peaceful activists or resisters, and those who question authority, or practice any degree of civil disobedience, now have their very own disorder listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or DSM-IV-TR Fourth Edition.

Modern psychiatry calls this illness Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Among the gems found within this 3-page excerpt from the DSM-IV-TR Fourth Edition describing ODD and its diagnostic features: “The essential feature of Oppositional Defiant Disorder is a recurrent pattern of negativistic, defiant, disobedient, and hostile behavior toward authority figures that persists for at least 6 months.”

Those who question the wisdom of being electronically strip-searched or physically groped in order to board a commercial airline flight may now be singled out for “special attention.” Those who refuse an order to confiscate lawfully owned firearms from private citizens who have committed no crime are prime candidates for deep scrutiny of their mental health. Engaging in any form of civil disobedience, freethinking or non-conformity is an invitation to be treated as a direct threat to the authority of those in power."  - source: http://psychiatricnews.wordpress.com

Give your life meaning...

Michael Bradford, Intuition

Last Monday I went to see Michael Bradford, who I met at the XL Life Shift. He was the reason I was in London. Michael is the author of 'Spiritual Healing' and uses intuition to deal with a whole range of challenges that people have. He also has a company called Intuitive Advantage and deals with business, health and relationship problems. Knowing what to say and how to say it is a very delicate art. It can be learnt by anyone with an open mind, as we are all human and intuitive beings.

The same way that we sometimes get scared and hold our breath momentarily until we have to breathe again. The same can happen emotionally and our energy may not open up as it thinks it is protecting us. Health ailments need to be cleared at source to fully allow healing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8euI0Alf_Ao

We discussed some of the things that I was currently dealing with and he asked me a couple of deep questions, that I would never have considered or thought to even ask myself. As he did, my subconscious found the answer and my breathing issue I'd had for a few weeks instantly cleared! It was as simple as accepting that a decision I'd made in the past was not benefiting me now and then deciding to do things differently. I had some affirmations and want to learn more on the subject. I also needed a vision for the future as something to aim towards rather than seemingly aimlessly drifting through life up until now.

YES Group with Susie Mitchell

On Wednesday Susie Mitchell came to talk at the YES Group. She is a Tony Robbins Trainer and author of the book 'Sat Nav for The Soul'.

She did a great talk on creating anchors and having positive incantations (affirmations) as a means to create lasting change and to attract things into your life including money.

Anchors can be created by getting into a really positive state and make an anchor by squeezing your fist. After repeating this a few times, you can just squeeze your fist when you need that state and you will end up feeling positive. Brilliant!

Make decisions on what you do what in your life. Know what it will be like, see it, feel what it will be like to have it. Future Pace. If you have any limiting beliefs (thoughts that pop into our heads on a daily basis), know them and change them to empowering beliefs. Eg. from: I'm not worthy, to I AM more than worthy.

When your conscious mind wants something and your unconscious mind thinks that you don't deserve it, then you will fail in getting what you want and attract what you don't think that you want. Conscious beliefs are what you think you believe, unconscious beliefs are what you really believe! The unconscious wins, so you need to align both the conscious and the unconscious.

Incantations / Affirmations can be used as powerful statements of intent. Frame them in the positive and say them out loud whilst in a positive state, mentally and physically. Embody the feelings and do it for a minimum of 21 days to create a positive lasting change and habit.

At the end of the talk we were given some Smish affirmation cards and the one I got was an Energy Card that said: Give your life meaning.

Anyone could have got this and it was important to me because the topic of life had come up since my conversation with Michael. I'd also caught myself automatically replying to someone earlier that day, when they asked how I was, with "still alive." Now to some people this may be a positive comment, to me it wasn't. Sometimes it isn't what is said, it's what isn't said that is important. My affirmations earlier were to start saying I AM ALIVE and I AM Life. So to get this card did have meaning.

Having met even more authors and seeing lots more books around AND now getting this card, I can take a hint... it's time to write that book! That way I can help expand minds, enrich lives and help you rediscover your soul and find your purpose. Give your life meaning too! The only way is forwards.
"Star Trekking, across the universe Boldly going forward, 'cause we can't find reverse"

Listen to the language that people use

In today's society many people prefer to deal with facts and science and act as if things are all OK. Talking to people about feeling and philosophy makes them uncomfortable. Listen to the words that they use, as the subconscious speaks the truth. I now catch myself saying things that I would never mean, yet I do at a deeper level. Stopping myself and changing my language will also retrain my brain and therefore make the new affirmations true, as we DO create our own reality.

When people talk about feeling upset, angry or suicidal - they mean it. Or when they comment on how working all week and getting drunk at the weekend is 'a great existence' - they know it is exactly that, an existence and not a life!

Being a little scared of change and feeling uncomfortable is natural. The comfort barrier is there for a reason to ensure our primitive survival, it is protection from the unknown. Although honouring it all the time will mean that you will always stay where you are and not get what you want in life. There isn't anything to fear on the other side, you just don't consciously know it yet. Are you prepared to take the first step to break out of the box? No-one keeps you there except you!
"If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

Ask the question: What's the worst that can happen? Mine is I'll go on holiday and spend some time on a beach having fun and nothing to concern me. Now is that something I should worry about happening if things don't go as planned!? Not at all, it actually sounds quite appealling!

Creation: A Sioux Story

The Creator gathered all of Creation and said, "I want to hide something from the humans until they are ready for it. It is the realization that they create their own reality."

The eagle said, "Give it to me, I will take it to the moon."

The Creator said, "No. One day they will go there and find it."

The salmon said, "I will bury it on the bottom of the ocean."

"No. They will go there too."

The buffalo said, "I will bury it on the Great Plains."

The Creator said, "They will cut into the skin of the Earth and find it even there."

Grandmother Mole, who lives in the breast of Mother Earth, and who has no physical eyes but sees with spiritual eyes, said, "Put it inside of them."

And the Creator said, "It is done."
